She works each bird with meticulous detail and adds movement with two hanging round turquoise stones and a teardrop-shaped silver charm. Born in Argentina, Maria Belen moved to Mexico as a young woman. After living all over the country, she moved to Taxco where she worked as an apprentice under some of the town's best-known masters. She now runs her own workshop where she creates pieces that honor the traditions of her adopted homeland.
